Chinese medicine, which has been in use in Asia for about 3000 years, involves acupuncture, herbs, gua sha and cupping. The idea behind Chinese medicine is
that qi ("chi") or body energy can be directed so that it moves smoothly through the body's meridians to nourish and support the organ systems of the body.
When qi gets "stuck" it results in pain, chronic disease, and emotional disorders. Fine, hair-thin needles are used to stimulate the flow of energy and rebalance the functions of the body. Acupuncture works on many levels which include the mind, the emotions, the body and the spirit.
